Refugees and immigrants who come to the United States aren’t always able to leverage their expertise and training right away. It can be a confusing and disappointing process to navigate and choose from various pathways and opportunities. Gather ideas for new approaches as you hear about a promising program model to meet this need in the first lightning talk. Then, learn about what remote onboarding affords learners in terms of convenience, support, and persistence. Let’s learn effective onboarding strategies that support English learners, learners with Digital Literacy needs, and special populations.
