How to register for a session using the calendar ⬆️:

  • Sessions on the calendar are in your time zone.

  • Click on the session you want to attend. A pop-up appears with the registration link.

  • Click on the registration link. A Zoom registration page will open in a new tab in your web browser.

  • Most workshops have the same Zoom registration link for all future dates. On the Zoom registration page, in the drop-down menu of dates, make sure to select the CORRECT DATE for the session that you want to attend.

  • In the list below, click on the type of session you want to attend. The session information expands.

  • Click the blue “Click here to register” button for the session. A Zoom registration page will open in a new tab in your web browser.

  • Most sessions have the same Zoom registration link for all future dates. On the Zoom registration page, in the drop-down menu of dates, make sure to select the CORRECT DATE for the session that you want to attend.

  • Please join us LIVE for the EnGen Learner Welcome Session. We will learn how to activate your EnGen account, find courses that are interesting and aligned with your goals, use additional services that are available to you (for example, group classes, private classes, and/or the Writing Workshop), and use platform features like the Grammar Guide and Word Bank.

  • Meet with an EnGen instructor during our live English Help Session. Ask your questions about English—grammar, vocabulary, or anything else you need help with!

    EnGen hosts English Help Sessions every day, 1-2 times per day.

  • The Beginner Workshop is for learners at the Beginner or High Beginner level in English. In this workshop, we will learn how to use EnGen, discuss how to learn online, practice speaking English with other learner, and practice English vocabulary and grammar. We will discuss different things in each session.

  • In the English Grammar Workshop, we answer your grammar questions! Are you confused about verb tenses? Do you struggle with word order when forming questions? Do you need help with negation? This workshop is for learners at the Low Intermediate level or above in English.

  • The Career Readiness Workshop is for learners who want to improve their English for their career! We will discuss different topics in each session, such as interviews, writing a resume, and networking. This workshop is for learners at the Low Intermediate level or above in English.

In this workshop, you will practice conversational English as you role-play real-world scenarios that will challenge you to think critically, use concise language to express yourself, and focus on the nuances of vocabulary and meaning in context.

  • If your EnGen program includes the Writing Workshop, you have access to Writing Workshop Drop-In Tutoring. This is an optional, collaborative group writing session. Learners should bring their own writing assignment as well as any writing questions that they want help with. Learners can work in small groups to edit and review their own writing or edit a writing sample (provided by the writing instructor) together.
