We’re proud to partner with the Colorado Office of New Americans to make career-aligned English instruction available free of charge to businesses and organizations across the state, part of Colorado’s commitment to addressing staffing shortages and connecting local workers with future-ready career skills.

Employers like Amazon, Chobani and Walmart have successfully deployed EnGen to upskill tens of thousands of workers across the country – and now, via a state program called Virtual Career-Aligned English as a Second Language (VCESL), Colorado employers can access free licenses recruit & retain employees with FREE English Upskilling.   

  • Who we are: EnGen is a certified B Corporation that delivers personalized, career-aligned, mobile-first English instruction to working adult learners.. 

  • What we do: We offer 130+ on-demand English courses with support in 70+ languages, 1:1 coaching, and live group classes, in sectors including   healthcare, manufacturing, technology, hospitality, and e-commerce, to connect learners with English and job skills simultaneously. 

  • How we work: EnGen has a proven methodology to advance learners’ English proficiency and job skills simultaneously, and has been proven to improve employee retention and recruitment.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, the EnGen platform will be fully funded through the Office of New Americans.

  • Learners must be 18 years of age or older, Colorado residents, and English Language Learners.

  • Learners will be enrolled in the platform on either the 1st or 15th of the month, whichever is closest.

  • Learners will have access to the platform for 6 months.

  • Once learners are enrolled, they can download our mobile app by searching “EnGen” in the app store, or by using the following link to access EnGen on a computer. EnGen Link

  • EnGen is individualized based on a learner’s level, goals and interests. They improve their English by doing short, real-world lessons that are relevant to their goals keeping them motivated and engaged.
