Position Overview
EnGen’s Education Team is seeking an experienced and passionate Virtual Live Session Teacher to help co-teach/facilitate our suite of live classes which currently include topics on grammar, pronunciation, writing, English for Beginners, and career preparedness. You will work with the other EnGen teachers to answer student questions, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate smaller groups of learners in breakout sessions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with EnGen team members on planning and execution of virtual classes
Facilitate student-centered virtual classes on various topics, including grammar, pronunciation, writing, and conversation
Provide corrective feedback to learners in real-time
Minimum Requirements:
Fluency in English
ESL certification or MA in TESOL (or related field)
Strong passion for helping multilingual learners remove English as a barrier to achieving career advancement, economic mobility, and better quality of life
Cross-cultural sensitivity and strong communication skills
Experience using Zoom (or other video communication tools) to teach online
Other Details About the Role:
Contractor position (3-5 one-hour classes per week plus prep time to start)
Teaching schedule is variable; will include regular business hours, evenings and weekends–you will help create your schedule
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
$25-33/hr, dependent on experience (includes 15 min planning per 50 min. class, no grading required)
